We are Indian, we are blessed.

Sometime back, I have heard a discussion about authenticity of Ramayana epic. Is Ramayana only an imagination of Valmiki? Was Valmiki a fiction novelist. I don't know the answer. It may be, we didn't see history. However, I went to botanic garden Chicago today. There I saw a squirrel as you can see in picture (left). According to Ramayana, Squirrel has been touched and blessed by Lord Rama for its hard work when they were constructing bridge to Lanka, and hence it got stripes. This squirrel (one in picture) doesn't contain the stripes, which normally Indian or SriLankan species of squirrel contains. (Wikipedia link) .

Now I don't mind, really, if you pray a stone, consider them as living, bath them with milk, and feed children Chinese milk powder, worship an animal and keep hundreds of human being malnourished. We are Indian, we are blessed.

1984 by George Orwell

"It would be possible to get inside that glassy world, and that once inside it time could be arrested."

"What you say or do doesn't matter: only feelings matter. If they could make me stop loving you -- that would be the real betrayal.'"

"But if the object was not to stay alive but to stay human, what difference did it ultimately make? They could not alter your feelings: for that matter you could not alter them yourself, even if you wanted to. They could lay bare in the utmost detail everything that you had done or said or thought; but the inner heart, whose workings were mysterious even to yourself, remained impregnable."

"Why should the fruit be held inferior to flower?."

"If you want to keep secret, you must hide it also from yourself."
